Cougar, a German company, had transited from its early days as a PC peripherals maker to the gaming gears company that it is today.
They are well-known for offering gaming products with great specs at an affordable price. Think of them like Xiaomi but for gaming gears only.
Recently, it announced a follow-up of their gaming headset, Cougar Immersa, with an upgraded model, Cougar Immersa Pro.
The Cougar Immersa did everything right for a basic gaming headset. It has

Driver Size
Cougar upsizes the driver size from 40 mm to 50 mm. A larger driver size does not necessarily means better sound quality. But a larger driver size has a better potential to recreate great sound quality.
Audio Type
Over at the audio department, we get a 7.1 virtual surround sound upgrade that can have a better mapping of the ambient game sounds. Do note that these are virtual surround sound. Nevertheless, it is still an upgrade over the stereo audio on Cougar Immersa.
Connection Type
An additional USB connection is thrown in for better device compatibility.
Software Support
Cougar’s own software, COUGAR UIX™ System, allows Immersa Pro’s wearer to adjust their headset’s EQ to their preferred settings. It also allows RGB lighting effects to be tweaked.

A seductive RGB ring illuminates the side of the ear cups. 5 types of lighting effects are available from the software.

Rapids Control
Compared to the Immersa, which controls are found inline on the cable, the Immersa Pro’s control is placed on the ear cups. This dial control allows rapid and intuitive adjustment of the volume and mic.
Microphone
An under-rated feature for a gaming headset is the visual cue of a mic’s state. The Immersa Pro optimally placed a light indicator on the tip of the mic to reflect the state of the mic.
