There are two character designs to choose from.
Fans of Line and its Friends have something new to drool over: true wireless earbuds from Xiaomi’s Youpin crowdsourcing program. They come in two adorable designs based on its popular characters, along with an even more attractive price tag.
As part of a crowdsourcing effort organized by Youpin, the Line Friends Bluetooth Headset comes in two designs inspired by a couple of its most popular characters: Sally and Brown.
Two to Choose From
The Sally model comes in an all-yellow case and the chick’s signature look on top. While the earbuds themselves are only white, you can see the character’s design on them as well.
As for the Brown version, the case mimics the bear’s look with its ears sticking out from the end. Opening it up shows similar white earbuds except with Brown’s well-known expression shown instead.
Clearly inspired by Xiaomi’s Redmi AirDots, the two pairs of earbuds share similar features and specifications to their Redmi cousin. These include Bluetooth 5.0, up to 3.5 hours of playback time, and light sweat and dust protection.
Other specs include a standby time of six days, transmission range of up to 10 meters, and seamless connection and disconnection by simply opening and closing the case, respectively. The container itself is quite light and offers a 310mAh battery capacity for charging up the buds.
Unbeatable Price-to-Quality Ratio
The best part? The Line Friends Bluetooth Headset retails for only CNY169 (~USD$24). That’s a great deal for true wireless earbuds made in partnership with an established brand.
Although not yet available on the official Line Friends online store, it can already be bought through TMall, where it enjoys a healthy 4.8/5.0 rating. Customers appreciate its value for money and good overall quality. Considering how most wireless earbuds from budget brands begin at USD$50, this is a swell deal when you factor in the partnership behind it.

For those living outside of China, AliExpress offers the wireless earbuds with a slight markup. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Xiaomi and Line will team up once again to officially distribute this product to more fans around the world.
