Jolina Landicho
I know it sounds cliché, but music has always been a huge part of my life. I've always been curious and have tried A LOT of hobbies, but music always pulls me back to it.
As a stereotypical Asian, my parents enrolled me in a music school when I was young to learn piano as it supposedly 'boosts the brain.' But I fell in love and eventually started learning other instruments, such as acoustic and bass guitars, violin, and vocals, and even joined some musical theater projects.
Once I grew up, this hobby of creating music turned into a passion for recording and audio engineering. This gave me a good grasp of how sound works, the equipment and technology, and music's ability to bring out emotions (and how to manipulate it). I realized there's SO much power in knowing how to work with sound.
But, as Spiderman says, "with great power comes with great responsibility." So, I make sure to never stop learning as well as share my experience and expertise to whoever will need it.
