How We Review And Rate Product
Our review principle at Headphonesty is grounded in simplicity, clarity, and a commitment to providing fair, honest, and balanced assessments of audio products. We use a 5-star rating system with ½ star increments to evaluate headphones, DACs, amps, and accessories, excluding TWS. Our 9-point scale ranges from 1 (very poor) to 5 (outstanding).
Our evaluation process is centered around four key elements:
- Sound quality
- Build quality
- Included accessories
- Comfort and fit
We compare products within their respective price tiers and consider their sound quality in relation to their price point.
Our reviewers strive for consistency, but subjectivity is inevitable due to individual preferences, expectations, and experiences. We ensure that manufacturers do not influence our reviews or scores, maintaining our independence and integrity.
While most of our scores average between 3.5 to 4, reflecting ‘above average’ or ‘good’ products, we acknowledge the presence of outliers in the market.
