Rudolfs Putnins
Rudolfs Putnins entry into headphone audio was in 2011 when he got his Grado SR80i. This was also when he got his Philosophy degree with philosophy of science being his major interest. After a short stint in a news agency he was lucky (and crafty) enough to land his first full-time audio job.
Rudolfs has handled marketing for Sonarworks, Reflector Audio, and other exciting brands. As an audio educator, he's read lectures on audio monitoring to local musicians and in the opening of AES Baltics. His article on headphone amplifier output impedance was printed in Sound On Sound magazine.
His highest audio achievement? Bob Katz asked Rudolfs to be friends on Facebook.
Sometimes Rudolfs builds DIY amps like the Kevin Gilmore CFA3 and Dynalo SUSY to discerning listeners looking for something that's not found in stores. Having recently downsized his desktop setup from a CFA3 and Schiit Yggy, Rudolfs firmly believes that full-size headphones have a lot of catching up to do to IEM's. And when that happens, he'll be there to let you know!
He also contributes to SBAF.
