The KATANA:GO’s design prioritizes portability above all else. It’s built with a foldable 1/4-inch plug and a battery life that provides up to five hours of playtime. This ensures that whether you’re practicing in a quiet corner of a park or preparing backstage, the KATANA:GO is always ready to perform.

This compact headphone amp is drawn from the acclaimed Katana stage amp series. It offers a broad spectrum of amp sounds and over 60 BOSS effects.

Guitarists have access to 10 amp types. This includes options for clean, crunch, and the signature BOSS high-gain Brown sound. Bass players, on the other hand, get Vintage, Modern, and Flat amp types straight from the Katana Bass amps.

What sets the KATANA:GO apart from rivals like the Fender Mustang Micro and Positive Grid Spark GO is its greater number of onboard controls. This new amp has a built-in tuner, Stage Feel control, memory bank buttons, and a patch browsing flick-switch, all complemented by a display screen.

The Stage Feel feature is BOSS’ advanced spatial technology. This has multiple presets than allows you to position the amp and the backing music in the sound field so you’ll feel like you’re playing live.

Plus, thanks to the integrated BOSS Tone Studio app, sound customization is leveled up. Users can adjust preset memories, design new sounds, or import Tone Setting memories from Katana amps.

The app also connects to BOSS Tone Exchange, allowing for the download of Livesets and the sharing of sounds with a worldwide community of musicians.

When paired with a smartphone, the KATANA:GO becomes a full-on practice tool. You can play along with songs from your library and loop parts for focused practice. And, you can even set it to switch sounds automatically to match YouTube backing tracks.
