The FiiO M23 Portable Audio Player is a perfect blend of advanced technology and portability. This makes it an attractive choice for audiophiles who are always on the move.

It sits on the more affordable end of FiiO’s digital audio player lineup but still packs a punch with new features, especially when it comes to versatility.

The M23 boasts a powerful dual DAC combination of AKM AK4191EQ and AK4499EX chips. This enables playback of high-resolution audio files up to 24-Bit 384kHz PCM/DSD256, including MQA.

The M23 can also function as a Bluetooth DAC/amp. With support for aptX HD and LDAC codecs, users can enjoy high-quality wireless audio transmission.

But, it can also work the other way. It can receive audio from other Bluetooth devices. Then, you can plug your headphones into the FiiO M23 audio player to listen to it.

When connected to a power source via USB, the M23 transforms into a desktop device. It unlocks a ‘Super-High’ gain mode, delivering a whopping 1000mW per channel at 32 ohms. This means it can easily drive even the most power-hungry headphones.

On battery power, the M23 can last around 10.5 hours between charges.

The M23 runs on a customized Android operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Its user-friendly interface seamlessly integrates with popular music streaming apps like TIDAL, Qobuz, Apple Music, and Deezer.

The 5.5-inch touchscreen display allows for easy navigation. And, the M23 also comes with 64GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card, providing ample space for your music library.

For wired connections, the M23 offers 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs. It also has single-ended and balanced line-outs, giving users flexibility in their listening setups.

As FiiO’s newest flagship solution, the K19 succeeds the popular K9 and K9 Pro models.

This powerhouse device features dual 8-Channel ES9039SPRO DACs and dual 8-Channel THX AAA 788+ amps.

It also delivers uncompromising audio quality and plenty of power. It can deliver up to an impressive 8000mW of power output and supports native playback of audio files up to an impressive 768kHz 32Bit PCM/DSD512.

The K19 offers seamless connectivity with a wide range of audio sources. It has a comprehensive array of inputs, including coaxial, optical, USB-C, HDMI, and HDMI ARC. There’s even an extra USB-C port on the front for easy use with mobile devices.

This headphone amp/DAC also provides multiple output options. This includes 6.35mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and 4-pin balanced XLR headphone connections. Plus, the dual RCA line-out and balanced 3-pin XLR outputs ensure compatibility with various audio setups.

Users can also customize their listening experience with the 31-band Parametric Equalizer (PEQ). And, you can enjoy the RS232, Ground Lift Switch, and the option to go for DC or AC power for more versatility.

The K19 takes a different approach compared to its predecessor, the K9. It replaces the physical switches and buttons with a screen and dial-navigated menu system, similar to some of FiiO’s other amplifiers like the BTR7.

While this change aims to modernize and streamline the user experience, it has generated mixed reactions from users. Some prefer the dedicated physical controls of the previous models.

Where to Buy

The FiiO M23 Portable Audio Player will be available in April, with a retail price of $700. It will be offered in two sleek finishes: Blue Titanium and Stainless Steel.

The FiiO K19 Headphone Amp/DAC, priced at $1,300, will be available starting in March. Customers can choose between Black and Silver finishes to match their aesthetic preferences.
