HIFIMAN is now shipping its newest budget earbuds, the TWS450. At a suggested retail price of $39, these earbuds offer many of the same sonic benefits as their predecessors. This is due to the use of audiophile-grade dynamic drivers and sonic tuning, which are typical of HIFIMAN products.
HIFIMAN TWS450 Features
The lightweight (3.5g) TWS450 have an IPX4 rating, making them resistant to sweat and precipitation. This allows for a comfortable indoor and outdoor listening experience.
The earbuds can go up to 5 hours on a single charge. Plus, the included charging case provides an additional 15 hours, for a total of 20 hours of playtime.
As for their reliability, their Bluetooth 5.3 technology promises a clear and stable connection throughout the listening session, with a range of 10m / 33ft.
The TWS450 also have a game mode that is said to reduce the latency even further.
For calls, these earbuds have HIFIMAN’s ENC Deep Noise Cancellation, an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm. This lets the earbuds filter unwanted noise while emphasizing the human voice.
Other notable features include a multi-function touch sensor for easy control of calls and music playback.
The controls include:
- Tap twice on either earbud to play/pause music or answer/end a call.
- Long press and release when you hear two beeps to skip to the previous or next track.
- Long press and release when you hear “game mode” to switch game mode on or off.
- Tap three times on either earbud to activate your device’s voice assistant.
- To clear the paired device list and enter pairing mode to connect to a new device, double tap and hold, then release when you hear the voice prompt “pairing”.
