The Melomania M100 join the growing list of TWS earbuds with lossless audio support.

British audio brand Cambridge Audio has launched its 3rd generation TWS earbuds, the Melomania M100.

At only $219, the M100 support the aptX Lossless codec, which enables CD-quality audio over Bluetooth. They also feature adaptive hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for immersive, uninterrupted listening.

“By adopting cutting-edge tech like apX Lossless, Melomania M100 were crafted to be our best true wireless earphones so far, to take on all comers and show what real audio expertise can deliver.” says James Johnson-Flint, owner of Cambridge Audio.

With a legacy of sound innovation spanning over 50 years, the M100 introduce some exciting new features.

First off, the Melomania M100 feature two 10mm dynamic drivers made with recycled neodymium magnets. These drivers promise to deliver powerful yet controlled sound across all genres.

The earbuds also use Class AB amplification, the same technology found in Cambridge Audio’s acclaimed CX Series hi-fi amplifiers. This ensures low distortion and a wide dynamic range.

The M100 have Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound platform for a stable, interruption-free connection.

Coming with this is the aptX Lossless codec support, which allows for bit-perfect transmission of CD-quality audio at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution when partnered with Android devices. Plus, the earbuds support aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC codecs for better compatibility.

To make the connection more reliable and convenient, the earbuds also have a low-latency Gaming Mode with an 80ms response time. They also support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for quick pairing with Android devices and Windows PCs, respectively.

The M100 are equipped with cVc echo cancellation and noise suppression technology for clear voice calls. And, they are compatible with both Siri and Google Assistant for hands-free voice control.

Cambridge Audio says it’llprovide over-the-air firmware updates for the M100, for the new features and improvements over time.

But, if you still feel like the sound quality is lacking, you can personalize it with Cambridge Audio’s new Melomania Connect app. This app is available for Android and iOS devices and features a 7-band EQ, as well as six presets tailored to different music genres. It also enables customization of the earbuds’ touch controls.

For the ANC, the M100’s adaptive hybrid ANC system uses both Feed Forward and Feed Back microphones. These monitor and cancel out external noise, automatically adjusting the level of noise cancellation based on the user’s environment and fit.

Qualcomm’s advanced Adaptive ANC technology also optimizes noise canceling performance regardless of the earbuds’ fit. And, a Transparency mode lets users hear their surroundings without removing the earbuds or pausing their music.

The M100 offer a battery life of up to 10 hours (16 hours with ANC off) and an additional 23 hours from the charging case. This provides a total of 33 hours of playback (52 hours with ANC off).
