The ONIX Overture XM5 has a high-grade aluminum body with ONIX’s signature black and gold color scheme. The gold-plated volume wheel adds elegance while giving precise control over the audio output.

But it’s not just all about the looks and portability.

The XM5 uses the flagship ESS ES9039PRO DAC, known for its ability to give highly detailed and dynamic sound. This is powered by two TPA6120A2 amplifiers, capable of delivering over 1W of power at 32 Ohm. So, even demanding headphones can be driven easily.

This portable DAC runs on a pure music system powered by the Ingenic X2000 platform. This supports Hi-Res file playback from MicroSD cards, letting users enjoy their favorite tracks in lossless formats such as PCM up to 768kHz/32bit and DSD up to DSD512.

Aside from that, the XM5 offers several connectivity options, including two-way Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and AirPlay. These options make it easy to stream music from services like Tidal or play directly via DLNA/AirPlay without needing your smartphone.

The Bluetooth connection supports various codecs such as LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, SBC, and AAC.

The XM5 is not just a standalone player. It also works as a versatile USB DAC/Amp, letting users improve the audio quality of their laptops or standalone DACs.

This means you can easily fit into various audio setups.

Users can stream YouTube audio from their smartphones via Bluetooth, use the XM5 as a USB DAC/Amp with their laptops, use the digital output for connecting to standalone USB DACs, or even use the XM5 as an independent DAC for monoblock amplifiers.

You can also manage it remotely using the SyncLink feature in the Eddict Player app, which is available for Android and iOS.
