Motorola brings the style, Bose brings the sound, and Dolby brings the magic.

Motorola has launched its latest audio products: the premium Moto Buds+ and the more affordable Moto Buds.

The Moto Buds+ are made in collaboration with Bose and come with Sound by Bose technology for better audio quality and noise cancellation.

Both models also support Dolby Head Tracking and Dolby Atmos when paired with compatible Motorola smartphones, offering a realistic and immersive audio experience.

“We were thrilled to work with Motorola and lend our expertise on the launch of the Moto Buds+.” said the Bose’ Senior VP of Strategy and Business Development at Bose, Nick Smith.

“With the integration of Sound by Bose, Motorola customers now have access to an earbud that offers seamless connectivity with their devices, and the high-quality audio and noise cancellation they’ve come to expect.”

A key feature of the Moto Buds+ is the dual dynamic drivers—an 11mm woofer paired with a 6mm tweeter. These are refined by Bose’s EQ tuning to make sure the vocals stay sharp while the bass remains strong.

The Active Noise Cancellation claims to reduce up to 48 dB of ambient noise and is adjustable via the Moto Buds app.

Users can select different noise control options, such as:

  • Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation: Offers different ANC levels that users can set manually.
  • Active Adaptive Mode: Automatically adjusts the ANC levels depending on your surroundings.
  • Transparency Mode: Lets ambient sounds into your earbuds to keep you aware of your surroundings.
The Moto Buds app also makes it easy to connect quickly, link to two devices at the same time, and adjust audio settings and controls.

For calls, the Moto Buds+ use three microphones and CrystalTalk AI technology with wind noise reduction. These make sure you can have clear phone calls even in noisy environments.

The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio, which captures audio at a broader range and with 3x more detail on Hi-Res Audio streaming apps.

They also work with Dolby Head Tracking when used with the newest Motorola Edge smartphones that have Dolby Atmos. Some of these are the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Pro.

They provide up to 8 hours of playtime on a single charge, with the case offering an additional 30 hours. The fast charging feature allows for 3 more hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.

The Moto Buds+ are claimed to be water-resistant, but the exact IP rating wasn’t disclosed by Motorola on its product page, yet.

Alongside the Moto Buds+, Motorola has also released the Moto Buds. These target users who may not require the full suite of features offered by the Moto Buds+.

The Moto Buds have a lot of similarities with the Moto Buds+.

Like the Buds+, they are also certified for Hi-Res Audio and have Dolby Atmos support, ensuring top-quality sound across various media. They also have ANC and work with the Moto Buds app for the same customization options.

But the similarities end there.

Instead of dual drivers, the Moto Buds come with a 12.4mm dynamic driver, delivering balanced and clear audio perfect for everyday listening.

For clear calls, Moto Buds have two sets of three microphones and CrystalTalk AI technology, so voices come through clearly in loud places.

These earbuds also feature a quick charging option that provides 2 additional hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging. With up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, the Moto Buds are crafted to keep up with a busy lifestyle.
